Normally at this time I would be a nervous wreck. But I am not. I know We are going to defeat Butler tonight in a way that the last 10 minutes I will be relaxed. The season we have had will not allow us to lose this game. Now come Saturday vs Kansas State, or Xavier, I will be back to my normal nail biting self. Final Four on the line, how could I not be. "I am not sure why I am so confident. Maybe it's because I know Murray State handed that game to Butler. State was up 3 late and went to the out house. Maybe because Butlers BIG wins are questionable. No Turner for OSU, Xavier ending was dicey to say the least. "But i think the majority of my confidence in tonights game is simply we are just to great a team to lose this game to this team tonight. lets freakin' go orange. Posts: 4026 May 30 12 5:06 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	It's a good question and hard to predict until we see how the new pieces mesh with the returning players. 16 teams...I would say 5th place or higher would be a solid first season. Obviously I hope it's better than that but it's a tough slate. And we have many unknowns at this point so really hard to tell. I do not expect us to come in and win or even finish second. I'd say 3-5 is probably where we will land if all goes well. Too many good teams. 11-5 or 10-6 would be a pretty good first year record in conference. Really need to hope to win a couple of the tough non cons, finish above .500 in the A-10 and we'll go dancing.

Green Bay won the MCC/Horizon tournament in its first year in 1994-95 (Xavier won the regular season title).

How the schedule falls and who you have for home and away are key factors. We beat SLU at home last year and give us a 25% chance or less on the road.

Completely. My pop called me tonight to discuss. It was an odd, yet awesome conversation. Since I enrolled at Butler it's been an MCC then HL team. Tonight we talked of Temple, VCU, Xavier, Dayton...I mean it really was surreal. WE ARE IN A GREAT CONFERENCE NOW!!! We've all talked about it, but it really hit home tonight. Such an awesome feeling. And absolutely, show well in the A-10 and pick off a couple non cons...boom, dancing. And the conference tourney is in Brooklyn. That's kinda cool. A little better than Valpo or Milwaukee.

A little better than Valpo or Milwaukee. I've got a brother and nephew who went to Xavier and they are big contributors, and arse kissers of that 'school'. I got not a phone call or email during our two final game appearances from either, and when I last saw them a few years ago, they only talked about how lucky we were in ever beating them as well as making it to the final game ( this was after our first run and before our second). I don't think I will give them the honor of telling them how lucky and privileged we are to be in THEIR league, now. But it will be nice when ( and if ) we beat them AND win the A-16(?) title. I think every administration right now is endeavoring to find the next Brad Stevens and he is a beacon of light. If we have guys like him, we’re in great shape.’’
