I watched the whole game. Mike did a good job starting fast breaks. He broke one for a layup. He missed one three, aired one floater, but did hit a runner.
Mike caused quite a few deflections that led to the cavs fast breaks. I believe he had 2 steals. He did have quite a few boards and assists. If he could a
way to consistently make the open jumper his chances of making the roster would improve. He played almost the whole game w/ the other point guard from
Washington getting some time. Mike did a nice job finding the open man. He played better I feel that the backup pointguard. I also feel he played better
than the knicks starter. Overall, it was a good start for him. Its refreshing to see a Butler player have a chance like he does.

Mike has always been a great rebounder, and the NBA game will provide him with plenty of assist opportunities. But, if he can't shoot it at a better
percentage, it will be an uphill battle for him to make a roster this season. It was his shooting in workouts that created more buzz for him, so I am not
reading into one game.

Looks like "blocked shots" to me.

Well at least he got the ball for the game-winning shot.... |

Well, he shot the ball a little better in that second game, but the rebounds and assists were way down. Even worse: 6 fouls in 27 minutes of play. I didn't
watch the game, so I hope the fouls were him aggressively trying to block shots, and not hand checks on guys dribbling around/by him.
He's not really getting pressured by any other PG on the summer roster, so I would think his shot is very good to make it to camp with the Cavs. It all then depends on how the PG situation plays out with West, Gibson, Jones and Snow. West has still not signed as a free agent, but has stated his desires to return. |

Would Mike being a starter for the second straight game be a good sign? I would think so.
Prepare well and good luck this summer, '08-'09 Butler Bulldogs!

both games, so that would be a good sign for him too, right?

This may be a dumb question, but if he had 6 fouls how did he take the last shot of the game? Do players not foul out in these summer league games?

yeah, I remember reading in an article that Greg Oden got something like ten fouls in a summer league game. Those are the rules.

Yeah, I think 10 fouls is the max. It's some ridiculously high number. Not unlimited though, iirc.

I am currently watching the Cavs-Wizards. They talked about Mike. The announcers are very encouraged about what Mike has done so far. One announcer asked a
Cavs coach about Mike. The coach said that the team believes that they stole him. Eventhough he wasn't drafted they like what he is doing. The announcer
asked the coach is he is a pg or sg. Obviously, he is a pg. They said they need depth at pg.
I am sure you can check out Mike's #'s for this game. I did see at the end he made 2 clutch free throws when they were down 2 in the final minute. I believe he was 1 of 7 or 2 of 8 from the field. I do not know his other stats. |

They also just talked to Dan about the guards. He likes what he sees from Clay tucker. Has a nice stroke. He said Mike has really impressed him. He said the transition from Butler to the nba has not fazed him. He said playing top competition there has really helped him. The announcers really have hyped Tucker and Green in this interview. |

Announcers just talked Brown about Green. He said that he is a great person off the court. He plays like a coach on the court. Brown said Mike's
decision making as a rookie has been excellent. Announcers asked if the Cavs would bring him to camp. Announcers said they don't know what room they have
for him saying that some team could use his talent. Mike brown said he looks forward to Mike playing in the NBA for yrs to come.
