Yeah, I have to assume that is a typo unless this guy is also a basketball prospect.

I've tried to accidentally misspell Butler with a F-L-O-R-I-D-A for the last 5 minutes and it has been impossible.

And that took 5 minutes?

Is there a link to this story? I saw it on rivals, but there was nothing about Butler in the text. It must have been edited.

I bet that was supposed to read Baylor.

Maybe it's supposed to be Rutgers.

Think about it this way, if you were a decent two-sport athlete in high school but weren't projected highly at the next level in either sport why not try
to go to a place like Butler and play both sports. You could be a star on the gridiron and contribute on the hardwood for a Top 25 squad....our football season
is over in plenty of time for basketball season anyway.

It might have been Butler CC in Kansas...they have a good football program.

Billy Lynch (FB/BKB), Eddie Bopp (FB/BKB), and Steve Norris (BKB/Track) were several two sport athletes who did well at Butler.

How about the following? Jim Petty (track and basketball), Ed Schilling (track and basketball), Ron Iwema (baseball and basketball), Steve Gross (basketball
and track).

Big Ed Thompson wasn't too shabby, if you know what I mean and I think you do. Football and Basketball...... I didn't like the guy playin'
basketball, but at 6-7 he was big enough to see over Starlight Theater when he was in the bowl. Called a ton of fouls on him on the court, but I told my
football buddies to leave him alone in the bowl. He could really chuck that pigskin.

Hi D on a R,
You are absolutely correct. If we old dudes do not promote ourselves, who will? Big Chill |

I wasn't saying that was the reason why this particular kid had "Butler" listed under his schools, I was just saying in general. |
