I understand it has happened in the past, and it pissed me off then. No reason to be satisfied with it or to believe just because it happened in 2007 that we
will finish the same. I hope we do, but this has been a slow decline in my opinion, not just a bad game or two.

Very positive comments by Brad on the post game interview. Good job, Brad. 4 freshmen, three sophomores and 2 juniors.... W! 20-2.

dawgkeeper, just chill out.
we won. we will be fine. my bad for bringing up the 20 wins already. i was simply putting it into perspective that many people predicted 18-11 this year and we are well past that. ya i guess we should be content if we lose out. that would be a great way to finish a season. no butler way, i don;t even know what to make of your comparison. that's over my head. this is a basketball board. some guys need a few shots or a slump buster to get out of this funk. since when is having 2 losses in february a bad thing? |

BSB, my frustration comes from my lack of faith in the PG position. In the past I have been mad at the losses but always knew that we had the guys running the
show in the back court that would be able to work us out of the slump. Whether it is because they are young (which I hope is the reason) or they just don't
have it, I am worried right now that our back court will hold us back from accomplishing things the rest of this year that we should be able to accomplish
after a great first 18 games or so. Surely we won't play this poorly the rest of the year, at times we will, but I (as well as some players) probably need
to get their confidence back before I can feel comfortable that we will be able to finish as strongly as we would hope. Saturday will be a true test and we
generally respond to those tests (well, I guess not in Dayton). Luckily these guys don't know we always play poorly in Dayton and hopefully will have the
game that we know they are capable of, because we have seen it.

geez can we stop with the doomsday comments. a win on the road in conference is always a positive, no matter who it is. lest all of you forget we only have one
loss in conference this year (more than the last two teams can say) and its on the road to the second place team in the league. as dawgkeeper states, we need
MUCH better play from our pg (nored and hahn) but we also need more contribution from our bench (jukes, hahn, grant) and more consistent play from matt howard
(including less stupid fouls). still, we are 20-2 with a young team and i think we too often split hairs to find things about which to complain.

dk, i too have been frustrated in the pg spot. it is a glaring weakness in recent games. looking from this point on, it is what we have to improve on the most
to continue the winning and reach the goals we have set for ourselves with such a great start. i really think this team will respond on saturday. they
haven't plaed like past teams on the road.
no butler way, what do you mean spinning comments? and return my diploma? i was just asking a general question to the board. seriously take a step back and look at the whole season as a whole for a minute. we are 20-2. we might be in a funk right now but we continued the streak of not losing 2 in a row. we got an ugly win and now we have a chance to get #21 in 2 days. off topic: were you or are you currently in a frat? |

I just hope they wake up and start:
taking care of the ball making their free throws someone take a leadership role and emerge as the unquestionable leader stop picking up stupid fouls Wright State is going to be tough; they will have that place rocking, and will of course play their best game of the season, with multiple people having career days. It is a must win game in my opinion.

"Spinning" comments basically means to distort & manipulate them. I agree that 20-2 is an incredible season for any team, and it's extra special for such a young team. In September, I would have been very satisfied with 15 wins at this point. However, even though we've been great overall, we still underachieve in some individual games. I don't have a problem with people picking apart our weaknesses, especially in a thread that is exclusively about a game in which the general consensus is that we played poorly. Sometimes you have to dissect a weakness to fix it (yes, I know that comments on the board don't affect the team's performance), and I would hope that Brad & the staff are evaluating these weakness in even more detail than this message board is. No, I was not in a frat - I went Pi Phi. edit: sorry for the bold - I can't get rid of it.

every team has lulls in a season - duke, wake, illinois, minnesota, michigan state, syracuse, ucla, georgetown, gonzaga are all prime examples of this (the
list goes on) - as long as we keep our focus, confidence, and togetherness we should be fine. need better decision making and less turnovers from nored, more
consistent play from matt including less fouls, better play from zach (he is crucial), more consistent contributions from jukes, and good health from shawn. we
really should be fine.
