Fame Mens' Induction Ceremony on March 25, 2009. An article about the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony appeared in the Indiana Basketball History Magazine
published by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. Way to go, Ed!

Is that Ed the father or Ed the son? I do not believe that Ed the father played high school basketball in Indiana.

Location: Primos Banquet Hall, Indianapolis, Ind. Description: This program honors the newest inductees, brings together a Silver Anniversary All-Star team from the Indiana High School Class of 1984 and reunites members of schools that won state championships - the 1969 Indianapolis Washington, 1984 Warsaw and the 1959 Crispus Attucks teams. A reception will be held from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. with dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. You would be correct Arby's guy in your assumption.

This would be Eddie Schilling (Little Chill) who graduated from HS in 1984. If memory serves me correctly he played for Jim Rosenstil at Lebanon HS. There is
no doubt in my mind that Big Chill will be there for the occasion but only as a proud Papa & not a recipient! Eddie currently runs a basketball academy
here in the Indy area & can be seen on occasion at Butler games. Big Chill can be seen on a regular basis at the Butler games up in his favorite spot in
the Crow's Nest accompanied by Mrs. Chill.

It is Ed, Jr. who will be so honored at that banquet. I am the proud father.
I will be having my "other" knee replaced this coming Tuesday, February 24, 2009. I had the first one done a few years ago. My goal is to have my first night out to be Ed, Jr.'s night to be honored as a Silver Anniversary team member on March 24th. It is going to be tough to miss the last two Butler home games and the tourney games at Hinkle. I have sworn Ed to only use my tickets himself or give them to his inner circle of members of his Champions Academy, like Julian Betko or April McDivitt(maiden name). I remember that the majority of our players have already played more games in one season than they did in high school last year or the year before against older men and for two 20 minute halves. Regardless of how it is denied, I feel they are suffering from burn out. A few days off can help that. I wrote an article for Ed's column in the Indy Star's Preps Plus about this topic. Big Chill - See you next week as my mother is having the same surgery, in the same hospital, by the same doctor. Her surgery is on Monday. Maybe the ttwo of
you can race down the hallway! Winner gets to go home.
