I think the game against Louisville was my favorite Butler memory of all time. It may even supersede "The shot heard 'round Broad Ripple" on my all time scale.
Any way, I was living in Ross Hall, we were all gathered around the TV. When the final shot sank and Butler had offed UofL to move onto the Sweet 16, and you could literally hear the entire campus erupt. It was uncanny, the collective screams and shouts of excitement from anyone on campus with a pulse. After that we all just went crazy in the hall ways until we realized everyone was pouring out onto Hampton to join in the ruckus down near Schwitzer. I remember sprinting past police blocking off Clarendon and a row of news trucks to cover the frakas that broke out after that game. It was amazing to be an undergrad out on Hampton Dr. going crazy and sharing excitement with what felt like the entire student body. I wish the undergrads could get an experience like that, I would credit that moment as the point in which I went from being a good Butler basketball fan, to being a die-hard true blue Butler basketball nutcase.
I'm curious what everyone else remembers or what stands out as your best post season Butler experience?'
