Football Bulldogs roll to 49-19 win.... |
Lead | |
|
Andrew Huck guided the Bulldogs to their second win of the young season with a 49-19 pasting of Franklin College this afternoon. The Dogs built a 23-7 halftime
margin and were never seriously challenged after that. Huck was 33-48 for 341 yds passing with 4-TDs. He also led the team in rushing with 35-yds in 9-carries
and scored a rushing TD himself for the 2nd straight game. Butler amassed 461-yds of total offense but held the Grizzlies to 3-TDs despite rendering 359
passing yards from a pair of Franklin QBs. Franklin was 25-52 in the air including a 62-yd Purichia to Mellencamp pass for the final score. Butler is now 2-0
on the season and faces Hanover next Saturday at the Bowl.

Go DOGS!! When I read that Purichia threw a long td for Franklin it reminded me that we had a Joe Purichia at qb in the mid 60's; did a great job. Nice to
be 2- 0.

Coach Vorris has really got this program headed in the right direction. I love to see us air it out like last year. Can't wait for Homecoming.

Are you saying that the football team is so insignificant to you that you equate them with something that does not exist?

Point Westfield. Duck, really, why would you care if we talk about other Butler teams? Basketball is not going on right now and this is a Butler board. If you
don't like other Butler teams, you saw the title of the post, just ignore it and move on. Knowing BU97, the origin of this board was to talk Butler sports,
with a emphasis on basketball. Why make juvenile comments on what other people enjoy. This board is for everyone and if the topic is something you don't
want to read, don't. I think there is no fear in this board getting taken over by discussions about other Butler teams, but it is the off season and most
of us on here like to cheer for anyone who wears a Butler jersey.

Bob. Carroll Purichia was on of my high school coaches and I know he didn't go to Butler. Are you sure about Joe?

IHX - I guarantee you that Joe played football at Butler. He was the starting QB in 1965 and I think he started in 1964.

Upon review, Adams started in 1963 in the 63-64 school year.
