Butler Way: The Best of Butler Basketball by David Woods |

Does anyone have a status update on the release of "Butler Way: The Best of Butler Basketball" by David Woods? Originally Barnes & Noble had it
listed as "October 1 2009", now it is just "October 2009". Is the book done? Published? When is it expected out?

Thought I saw a response from David saying it is scheduled for release in November. He didn't have a specific date.
"Butler is, well... Butler! After the program's multiple retoolings and consistent high level of play, it's now a
basketball synonym for "awesome." (As in, "That's a very Butler tie you're wearing, sir. Have a Butler day!") --Kyle

I am told from an impeccable source the book will be out Nov. 13. Congrats, Dave.

Maybe we could convince David to do a book signing pregame or on campus sometime?

"Woods said he hopes to do signings and sell the book at three upcoming home games at Hinkle Fieldhouse in December."
Pretty sure David is already working on making that happen.

They've done the same in past years when Howard Caldwell sold copies of his book on Tony Hinkle. Great idea! If you purchase a copy of the book, you can
always find David in the press section or press room before, during, or after games and I'm sure he'd be glad to personalize the book if he isn't
working at the time.

I'll definitely get a copy of the book. Unfortunately it will be quickly out of date because we're in the midst of creating history that will
eventually be some of the best chapters in future editions. But i'm not complaining.

A Very, very bad analogy, but enough of one to mention here.
I remember reading a Season on the Brink, written by John Feinstein about Bob Knight and the Hoosiers during their 1985-1986 season. Knighted hated that book and regretted giving Feinstein all-access to the program that season. However, because I was given (Christmas gift - I think) a later edition, there was a post-script chapter written about the Hoosiers winning the National Championship in 1987. So, I think heater is correct that future editions with additions, maybe even a second book, could be in the works someday.
Schedules, schedules - class, practice and season.

Didn't that happen with Tony Dungy's book too? I think the Colts won the Super Bowl after his book came out.
