First time since 1961 the Bulldogs have opened the season 8-0. Today's game was also the 300th in the short history of the Pioneer League. Butler is now
1-5 against the Wildcats.
Strange play in the 3rd Quarter, when Butler punter Michael Wilson had his kick blocked, picked up the ball and kicked it again. The 60-yd kick was downed at the Davidson 1-yd line. Next up @Dayton (7-1), @Jacksonville (4-4), then close at home against Drake (7-1). |

I'm proud of them, but i wouldn't be surprised if we lose the last 3 games of the season. we've been kinda like Iowa football at this point, barely
pulling through against bad opponents

It's sad that they probably won't get a chance in the NCAA Tournament even if they win out. That's what happens when you don't give out
scholarships and play a weak schedule I guess.

Michael Wilson (Butler's punter)... we will see him on Sundays (jk).... but seriously the punters for both teams were the players of the game. The press
release from the game says that double punt came from Butler's 39 and was kicked to Davidson's 1. I didn't feel like it was that long, but
that's a good boot.
