People are talking up Detroit, they still need to prove it on the court of course, but do you guys really think they are the biggest challenge in the league?

They certainly were a challenge for Butler last year, and they didn't even have Keeling for it. I think that physically they will match up better with
Butler than any other team in the league. Nored looked a little lost last year at Detroit because of Woody Payne, and with their front line of Kennedy
(6'7, 210lbs), Keeling (6'7, 235lbs) and Holman (6'10, 255lbs) and being guys who will need to be defended as well, I can certainly see why people
would think that they can challenge Butler and the rest of the league.
Also, McCallum getting John Hoskins, a 6'11 Detroit native was pretty big for the program, he could definitely be a game changer in the future. I can definitely see them having a bit of a resurgence with McCallum as their head coach with the talent he's bringing in, but we'll see how that translates out on the court. "They say not to mix business with pleasure. If that's true, then tell me how a putt-putt golf course business works." |

Think you are right Irish Dawg, physically they do matchup well and can present problems. Maybe one of those teams we need to go big and stay big against. I
would not mind a Detroit resurgence for this league. As long as we beat them every time that is.

I hope the team will watch the film of last years Loyola game at Hinkle before the season starts. With all the preseason hype, that film footage will bring
them back down to earth, and confirm that the toughest opponent on your schedule is your next opponent.
