Butler vs. Taylor (NAIA)
|
1. Nored or VanZant starting at the #1?
2. Regular season rotations (15-5 for starters-reserves) or equal playing time for everyone (first half of course, as we'll be up 20-25 at halftime)? 3. Top scorer? 4. Final score predictions? |

1. I'd actually like to see Vanzant starting even though I think Ron probably will. As I said in another post, even though I feel Nored is probably the
better point guard, I think having Vanzant out there for defense since Mack and Hayward can create opportunities for the offense while Nored can create for
Hahn and possibly Stigall I feel gives this team a much better overall flow than the Vanzant/Hahn combo.
2. Equal playing time, though I think it might be better for the team to get some game experience with the actual combinations that will be used in the regular season, at least for the first half. 3. I'll say Smith as I think he'll be playing a lot in the second half 4. 73 - 55 Butler. They didn't really impress me much the last game, they had spurts of good play, but I thought it sounded like a pretty ugly game. "They say not to mix business with pleasure. If that's true, then tell me how a putt-putt golf course business works." |

1. Nored - Seems like he's about ready, though I suspect Vanzant will see as much playing time, if not more.
2. Equal time for everyone 3. Hahn - five 3s for 15 points 4. Butler 73 Taylor 39 |

For what it's worth I see that Taylor lost to Ohio U. 76-40 in exhibition play last week.
LET'S GO DAWGS!!!

It was 35-9 with 2 minutes left in the first half of last game. Against the normal rotation, I seriously doubt Depauw could have reached 25. They
"could" beat these teams like Minnesota did the other night, but what is the point of embarassing people?
ESPN: No 3 programs burst onto the scene in the last 20 years the way UConn, Gonzaga and Butler have in college basketball. |

Duck I am smarter than that this board would appear in flames, every HL team homer with a PC would be on here busting our chops, but seriously final score

We did good. Everyone played. Taylor sucked.

Leading Scorer? Any Surprises? Was it that boring? I am sorry I am stuck at work on Saturdays until regular season starts so I rely on this board for my info.

Starters were VanZant-Mack-Hayward-Veasley-Howard
We won 75-44. It was 38-18 at half. Mack 12, Howard 11, Hayward 10. Only three guys played 20+ minutes - Howard 23, Nored 21, Mack 20. It was easy sailing, as Taylor was a really, really bad NAIA team (we led 14-0 at one point before calling off the hounds). At full strength with regular rotations, we'd beat Taylor 100-30. |

Watching the game, I learned very little to nothing about the team today.

Was a pretty worthless game. We will see what we look like Saturday.

Box Score free throws and 3 point shooting.

I was concern with the poor results on the 3 point percentage and the free throw percentage.
