I'm looking forward to that game especially with Vaden back.
I think there are a few canidates to guard him: Mack, Hayward, or Veasley. I'd think Veasley will get the assignment. The other two are true freshmen and we know defense comes slow for freshmen (the game could be pretty early in the season as well), but Hayward with his size and length and Mack with his size and strength could physically handle the assignment. Look for Veasley to guard the best opposing player next year. The non-con part of the schedule should be a hoot. @ Drake, @ OSU, @ Xavier, and home against UAB. Is it November, yet? I'm really missing Butler basketball right now especially after getting a taste with the freshmen on Friday night. |

It is my understanding that the Dawgs will also play at Bradley this year. I cannot remember if we begin the 1 and 1 Stanford series this year (we will play
them first at Stanford on our way to a tournament in California). In any event, the upcoming season will be another exciting year. Throw in the usual Horizon
League battles (our league always produces surprises), and we have another great year of Dawg ball.
I first saw Vaden play at Cathedral as a freshman. He was incredible. As usual, it will interesting watching the recruits blend with the upperclassmen. Watching Howard play is worth the price of admission. |

Stanford is still a year away. Butler plays there during the 2009-10 season.

Vaden is fat. Granted he can shoot, but he all he does is stand around outside the 3 point line. We just need to stay on him.

Is that fat with a "ph"? The guy can play and Butler will have their hands full when he comes to town.

I feel very confident in saying he did not mean "phat."

Anyone else starting to think that Shelvin Mack, the Bryan Station boys' basketball star, could
become Billy Gillispie's Chris Lofton?

I shutter in fear at the mere thought of fat boy and "old mulemug" coming to Hinkle.
