I think this year's class is going to surprise everyone (no worst than 3rd, may win the Horizon League Tournament, if so, win a NCAA first round game). I'll never forget the look on the face of Jeremy Pargo, Josh Heyfelt and Mark Few when the Dawgs went ahead 27-10 in the 2006 NIT. Come on ESPN, CBS and whoever, our Bulldogs are the best Mid Major in the country. Put us on prime time. We're winners!

I'd be pretty surprised if we don't have one here within the next 4-5 years, 2011 seems about right. When we flirted with getting UNC a couple of years ago, or OSU next season (perhaps Stanford in two seasons), those are the games where ESPN will come to campus and host something. Of course, we will have to be relevant at the same time too. If Oden and/or Conley hadn't of left after their freshman seasons, I think we would have been a very strong candidate to get Gameday at our place last year. Bracketbuster would be a good one to do, but with the schedule coming out so late, it's a tough plan for them to do.

We beg and get leftovers, e.g., Bracketbuster, every 5 years. If we build it (a schedule with top notch non-conference games) they will come. Give credit where credit is desired, as I've said, Gonzaga will play anyone any place. We should adopt the same strategy. By the way, we whoop ass on the road or at neutral sites against top teams. Don't protect these newbees. Throw them out there and challenge them. Northwestern and Ball State aren't challenges. OMO By the way, have we invited the Zags to play a home and home?

Also, good luck getting ANY team to agree to a home-and-home with the image of how one team just housed the other team, fresh in memory. Why would they sign on for a series, where they could lose both games, one almost for sure; and, not get national respect for doing so? The best policy, is what they seem to already be doing, target fringe Top 20 teams, like Stanford, from BCS conferences, who "need" OOC road games to assuage the Committee. ESPN is obviously making an attempt to one per year at a "mid major", likely to cross promote the Bracket Buster concept. A game vs, say a Xavier, is completely sufficient, if not actually more attractive for them (for those reasons) than a game against a Ohio State. It is going to happen, it's just a matter of time.
