I see the Dawgs moving up to #12 in all 3 Polls: AP, Coaches, and CBSsportsline.com poll.

Syracuse and Arizona State right below Butler both loss and Texas right above Butler lost. I do not see any team(s) leap frogging Butler.

Obviously they stay at #1 in the MidmajorTop25.com poll. With St. Marys falling off the map, Butler should get all the #1 votes; however, I believe that Gonzaga may pick up a couple.

As far as a BracketBuster prediction, it looks like it is a done deal with Davidson. We will find out tomorrow.

I like Butler playing Davidson this year, but if you ask me to consider both of the years Butler will play the team - Siena is the better match-up as far as RPI is concerned. Davidson will have a drop off next year, Siena won't.

Agree with Bulldog about the poll predictions...

"Butler, which won its closing 11 Horizon League games last season (excluding the tournament), is 4-0 now. That's 15 in a row. It's not too early to examine the schedule and consider whether Butler can surpass the league record of 21, set by Wisconsin-Green Bay from 1995-97. If Butler can make it through January without another defeat, it would go for a record 22nd straight Feb. 2 against -- yep, Green Bay at Green Bay."

Penn State's win puts Purdue right back in the title chase and puts the Nittany Lions in the field of 64 (barring a collapse). If the Big Ten only gets 5 teams then now OSU is on the bubble. But, I'm sure they will get 6 based on reputation.

Unfortunatley I think it will be one and done for us in the Top 10. I like the team and they continue to surprise me but a 3-0 week is VERY hard to imagine. It will be an amazing run if they can do it.

Very hard to imagine because it is a lot of games in a few days. We are one of the few ranked teams playing 3 games this week (perhaps Davidson if they are in the top 25).

It is not common and it isn't like we have the 3 cellar dwellers this week - we have 2 tough teams, one where we always don't play our best.

We are 19-1? Jesus... I had no idea. Thanks. Nevermind... Because of our success this seasonb the other teams will want us to win and not give us their best 40 minute game of the year.

19-1 is awesome but I think we're overrated right now. I think we have a good shot to move to 22-1, but I still don't think we're top 10 material. I don't think Xavier is, either. We should probably be back with St. Mary's and Gonzaga at this point. Look who's in the top 10 right now and tell me who wouldn't smoke us in a best-of-10 series (other than X). Could we beat one of those teams in the tourney? Sure, on any given night anything can happen, but we've all seen how we struggle matching up against big teams (with talent).

I don't think Butler would get smoked by anyone other than UNC or UCONN, and that wouldn't be a total smoking. Hell if Wake can lose to g Tech, who is horrible, then anyone can beat anyone. And that inlcudes Butler on both sides of that argument. Going to be a tough week, but, need a sweep. I am predicting 11 or 12 in the polls, Friday night was not top ten material.

Does anyone actually think before they post??? Witheto isn't saying Butler CAN'T win all three. He's just saying it will be very hard to and he doesn't think it will happen.

DBnull-- Your are right in quote "we have all seen how we struggle..." but, I'm not totally convinced that our definition of struggle is the same as Brad's--there have been many times when all of us are saying get this player , or players, in or out as things are going down hill. Brad on the other hand knows he has some diamonds in the rough and may WANT to put them in places where they WILL struggle--after all he is going to have most of these kids for a while he needs to know how they will react to pressure. Just think of all the instances where a kid has screwed up & Brad just seems to be putting it in the memory bank and never chastises the kid. It is absolutely true that if we don't have the right combination on the floor we struggle---I'm just not sure it is not by design. jmo
