Only thing that will salvage this week is a win at WSU. That hasn't happened for awhile.

So, how many times in the next couple weeks will we be saying, hey we won 20 games this year, we should be happy?

I thought Butcher played well tonight.
In fact, the play of the game, was when he picked up a potential Nored turnover and immediately kicked it to Hayward for a 3, stretching our lead from 1 to 4. I thought we got pretty good minutes from Jukes also. |

hopefully a lot of it was we just don't match up well against Detroit. Only beat them by a few at home. They are big which may indicate trouble against big BCS teams. I just wish Jukes would use his body to help Matt underneath more. Hayward 7 for 7. |

Hayward is unbelievably awesome. Good play and confidence should be contagious to the entire team though.

That was the most painfull game to watch. Could that play by play guy be any worse??? I could barely stay awake - his monotone voice was terrible.
We just are not playing well right now. I don't feel good about our game at Wright State the way we are playing.

Gutshot. You are a piece of worth. Had Lick coached that game you would have been in cardiac arrest. It was bad, and pretty badly coached. When do you stop and
coach your team to play a little smarter? Apparently never. Yes Butcher was good. Luck. Amazing how you pick out the good with this guy, but never could with
Lick. Very objective, you are.

Ah crap. Just realized we didn't cover the spread. There's something satisfying about doing that. Well, that and actually playing well.
Seriously, Hayward is amazing. Beat Wright State. |

Thanks Bill. Yes, Stevens deserves some criticism tonight for using some of Lick's old plays where the opposing team is evidently supposed to get the ball

There are no secrets in the league anymore. Until our guards can take advantage of the overplay they are going to continue to get hounded. I sure hope VZ's
injury isn't severe. We missed him tonight. Is there anyway we can sneek Mike Green back unto the team?

Why is everyone ready to crucify the team? in 2007 we lost 3 of 6 to end the regular season, and then lost in the championship game at the Nutter. We then went
to the sweet sixteen. Not saying that this is the same team, but....
Be happy we won. Obviously there are things they can improve on. We are all so spoiled now To me, truth is not some vague, foggy notion. Truth is real. And, at the same time, unreal. Fiction and fact and everything in between, plus some things I can't remember, all rolled into one big "thing." This is truth, to me. |

Wright State isn't as fast, nor do they press as well, nor do they dictate tempo, nor have they given us any reason this season to be concerned....Remember
folks we only won by 4 to Detroit at Hinkle, but sailed by Wright by 16.
Turnovers have obviously been our Achilles heel this season, no doubt, that and Matt making insane fouls. I was not a Hahn detractor before, but it's been pretty rediculous, I don't know what part of his brain he lost after that noro-virus, but he needs to get it back. As for Nored, I keep trying to tell myself he's just a freshman, but after his performance tonight I can't even tell myself that, we need his D though. On a brighter note, I think Butcher is going to emerge as a serious threat by next season, he shows so much potential. I like seeing a guard combo of Mack and Hayward, but their ball handling isn't as quick as Hahn and Nored. I don't care for Vanzant much, but I think if he is out long he will be dearly missed on the defensive end, at least it's an ankle not a knee, or so it seems. Part of me wanders if the youngn's are just wearing down from playing so much their first college season.

Gutshot. You are completely nuts. But I still like you, despite your lack of objectivity and perspective. You should be in the Senate or Congress. They all
like each other despite their dumbassedness. I guess that's an American thing. Let's just now concentrate on spending a lot of money we don't have
and never will. That's what's really important right now. This is just a game. Come to think of it, government is too.
Hell, let's just all get drunk and hug each other. We'll all be poor soon. |
