I know this is crazy but, |

we might be better off losing to Davidson and possibly another. Right now I think we are in the dreaded 8/9 seed range. Doubt we can move up but we can
definitely move down. I know this is playing with fire but.....

We're in the 8/9 seed range if we happen to win out. If we're playing with fire, we've doused ourselves with gasoline and are just waiting for
someone to light a match. YSU and CSU are no gimme games either. Youngstown State, unlike us, are peaking at the right time and CSU will definitely be ready to
play since this game could have some huge ramifications come the conference tournament. Thankfully, we've at least got 2nd place wrapped up, so the kids
should get some rest before they have to play.

I would take an 8/9 matchup and the chance for the youth to play North Carolina in round two. A win is unlikely in that game but the experience would be
invaluable next year March.

Losing to Davidson on national television to complete a 3 game skid is the last thing this team needs. They will be lucky to be an 8 or 9 seed at this point. People might be overreacting to the NIT talk but it's not too far off. Order of things to worry about: -Davidson -YSU -CSU -HL Tourney -Making the tournament |

Maybe a 10 right now. We need to win every game left, or it will be 12-13. If we get in.

You might be right JZH. At the same time though, our RPI isn't going to get much worse. If we lose to Davidson and lose in the Horizon finals I still think
we get in.

Under the situation you laid out, we might (big emphasis on might) still somehow get a bid, but as you said in an earlier post, that would definitely be playing with fire. Unfortunately that would also mean we'd be 7-5 or something like that in our last 12 against competition that we're not exactly going to be seeing come tournament time. I'd much rather just win the conference tourney and not test your theory "They say not to mix business with pleasure. If that's true, then tell me how a putt-putt golf course business works." |
