Questionable? These refs are HOSING the US right now. Absolute BS.

Gordon Hayward made the all star 5. However, somehow Mario Delas made the MVP. How does a player from the 3rd place team get MVP??? Crap. Should have been
Taylor or Hayward.

Hayward made the all-tournament team, what a great honor! Not sure how they decided to give the MVP to Delas, he was their best player, but I guess I'm
just used to them giving it to the best player on the winning team.
Safe travels boys, and get lots of rest! "They say not to mix business with pleasure. If that's true, then tell me how a putt-putt golf course business works." |

Congrats on the Gold USA, Shelvin and Gordon. 0 points in the Gold Metal game probably didn't help Gordon's case for MVP. Great balanced scoring and
playing from Team USA. How did the team with Hummell do?

Really? This Bozo can't even spell "Boynton" correctly. All he has to do is check the roster for the correct spelling. Oh snap ... Kenny didn't make the team. Nice job.

I heard that Greece played a box and one on Hayward. If so, that would explain both why he only took 2 shots and also why he still played so many minutes (as
it opened things up for everyone else).
can anyone confirm if this was the case? If so, it says a lot about the respect given to Gordon. |

"The consensus among the three coaches was that Butler will be extremely difficult to beat next season. That became apparent with the play of Gordon Hayward (10 ppg, 41.4 percent on 3s) and Shelvin Mack (5.9 ppg, 9 of 10 at the free-throw line), who remained consistent throughout the tournament. " Nice Katz article. |

Katz usually forms an opinion early in a given season, then he proceeds to beat that horse to death. If the horse he's beating is "Butler will be extremely difficult to beat next season", then keep on beating that horse!

I like Katz, but you are right. So I hope this is one of his horses and he keeps throwing down on it. I like Parrish and Goodman more, but positive words from
Katz can't hurt.

Glad our guys, and the entire team, were out of New Zealand by the time the earthquake struck in the general area yesterday. There seemed to be some concern
that a tsunami might occur afterward but to my knowledge it didn't happen.

Whew! Glad they are back by now. How are they spending their week of rest, do they sit on the Butler bench and shout out pointers to open gym players?
I can imagine if anyone walks over to give issue, they just reach inside their jacket and dangle that gold medal around these necks... Seriously, I wish them well on their week of rest and look forward to seeing any more interviews with them now that they are back.
