Indy Terry, Valpo needs to focus on a .500 record, then we can talk. I've never seen so much hype from a supporter of a team coming off a 9-22 season. Like
another poster said, this isn't the Summit League.

Valpo sucks, sorry dude, but they do. And when you roster is loaded with foreign players, it just means you are going after the second tier of European talent
that can't make it in the Euroleagues in a lot of cases. Throwing around a bunch of foreign names doesn't make your team good dude. Just look at the
USA kicking everyone's ass all over the world in hoops, take lessons.
Maybe get to .500 like Duck said, then maybe try to get a couple games over, then you can start jawing about your team and it's credentials. Even then, you will still be staring way up at Butler and I hope you enjoy the view of great basketball. Valpo can't even get to .500 in the Horizon league-pathetic. |

Gordon 10 points on four shots, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 1 steal. Nice!

Mack wasn't bad either... 14 points (2nd team highest) on 9 shots (67% - all 3 misses were 3-pointers, made 2), 2 rebounds, 4 assists, but 2 turnovers.
Hayward had 0 turnovers... and his 4 blocks were a team high (2 blocks were within 31 seconds in the 4th quarter - which does show stamina). Seth Curry... 3 points on 1-7 shooting in ~20 minutes. Good news... This team fires on a majority of cylinders on any given game enabling a bad day by someone to have a lesser impact. Bad news (for the rest of the FIBA teams)... This team has not yet reached it's potential. Every day they play and practice together is a day they get better. Butler Basketball Summer School is now in session at Hinkle, Colorado Springs, New Zealand & Italy. |

Aren't we getting a little giddy over playing some Egyptians?

It is awesome to see these guys do so well, especially with the limited minutes and the amount of talent on the floor.

Giddy maybe, but I like it any time Team USA puts a beat down on another nation...but I extra like it when two of the really good guys are representing the
team. Looks like both had great games. Keep it up fellas.

I only see 1 foreign name from Montenegro who happened to play high school ball in California. Broekhoff is a German name that could be found anywhere in America. The second tier European argument is really old. You need to update your knowledge. I bet you think baseball players don't use steroids too. |

I'm anxious, maybe even "giddy", to find out how our Butler representatives do against the countries that have played well in these tournaments. That's all! |

Can someone help me. When is the next US game (Eastern Daylight Time)? Who do we play?
I bought the FIBA internet package. They are broadcasting some games. Why are they broadcasting some games and not the U.S. Is it my understanding that the first broadcast game for the U.S. will be on July 10... if we make it that far. Correct? Either the format for the "package" is confusing or I'm a dumb ass. Probably the latter. Thanks |

IHX, I'm with you. The FIBA site is a bit confusing. I also bought the package and can't tell when they will show an USA game. I am assuming the
10th too.
I belive the next game is against Greece at 3:30am. It looks like our next few games will be at 3:30 in the morning. Someone please correct me if I a wrong. |

I believe they are 16 hours ahead of US EDT. The next game is July 6 at 19:30 local, which is 03:30 (a.m.) EDT.
