U-19 on TV / Internet -The HL Network or Indy local TV should broadcast. Butler has two (2) players on the most prestigous team for U.S sophomores. The HL
Network or one of the the dead beat Indy TV stations should broadcast a few games. This would be the ultimate reality show. Furthermore David Wood should be
tagging along with the team. Some one lead the charge! Call LeCrone! Call David Wood. Call the ABC, NBC, Fox affiliates! Call B.C. WAJC we need your help.
Send Title or Stax to join the team with daily reports.

I can never tell if you're serious or not...but no way would the HLN have the dough or ability to send a crew overseas. As for local media, we have a hard
enough time getting them to Hinkle let alone New Zealand.
And who knows if they'd be welcome to set up in New Zealand anyway. |

I think he was being serious, and it would be an amazing opportunity for some local media to pick up, however xavier may have forgotten the cost of a crew
overseas which will ultimately make it near impossible, especially given the economic times for something like that to happen. Maybe ESPN or another national
station will pick up the championship or something if the USA were to get there. Until then I will be searching for online feeds and stats. We can all still
cross our fingers though. What are you doing in Alaska xavier?

ihatexavier wrote: That is hilarious. They should also send a crew to the moon to report on the changing climate above Hinkle during the summer months. Really, hilarious. Webcasts are going to be your only shot to see Gordon and Shelvin on the U-19 team; unless you want to fork out $1,500-$2,500 for airfare to NZ. |

Is it broadcast in New Zealand? Why not just pick up the satelite feed and bounce it back? Still some money involved, by not like producing it yourselves.

Of course I'm serious... This is a great opportunity for the HL to show case their top talent. Every one, including me, complains about what a low rent
conference the HL is. Step up and spend a little dough and there will be dividends. We are a conference that has to beg to play the bigs. Now we have big
time players and we have to have the media support. As far as the local network affliates are concerned, let them eat cake.

ihatexavier wrote:So let me get this straight - a TV network in Indianapolis, during the worst recession since the Great Depression, should spend thousands and thousands of dollars on an amateur basketball tournament on the other side of the world to appease the students and alumni from Butler University, a 4,000 student private school? Butler, a school where the alumni base is smaller than the current student population at Indiana University. A school that can't fill their gym past 1/2 for 75% of home games. Come on. Remove Butler blue glasses and realize this would absolutely never happen under any circumstances. We can't get these networks to carry Butler games when the games are played less than 10 miles north of their HQs, how in the world can you think they're going to cover two of our athletes on the other side of the globe??? |

Duck. Are you serious? What would the sports fans of Indy rather watch? The Pacers? IU? IRL without Danica? The Indiana Kentucky All Star game? Or two of the
finest players and young men in the basketball country? Depression / Recession, I'll give you a bad economy Do you remember the "Miracle on Ice?"
This event could rank right up there. Interest rates were 21%, stagflation had set in and oh yes!!!! Iran had taken over our embassy in Tehran. By the way if
you haven't read our first game is against the boys of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. 29 years later. The media moguls of Indy and the HL (headquartered in
Indianapolis) could rival The Miracle with "Bulldogs go wee wee on the Persians in the land of Kiwis."
Think out box. Get out of the pond. If we broadcast it they will come |

I am laughing my ass off at your post IHX. In the middle of watching the terrible cubs lose too...yet that made me laugh my face off. Bulldogs go wee on the
persians...priceless.

Willis. Can you believe 10 hits and no runs? Pinella doesn't manage to move players around the bases. I don't get it.

As much as I wish I could sit here and say I don't believe it, I do. A guy commenting on the game said "why not bunt in the first" to get theriot
in scoring position...well why not? Probably because Lou believes the long ball is all that can win games. It's amazing, almost as amazing as running
Soriano and Fukudome out as much as they do. Don't get me started dude.

Willis. In reality, from the observation of this long suffering diehard Cubs fan, have we ever had a manager who knows what to do? Why don't we ever end up
with a Tony LaRusso, Whitey Herzog, Dick Williams , Joe Torre, etc guys who get it. The Cubs never never push the players around the bases. I don't get it.
Final comment - Sorianno as a lead off hitter... get serious... don't even get me on Mark DeRosa. Stax is going to bust us for the baseball digression.
Have a good one.

Oh yeah, and Blake Griffin is headed to Butler...screw the NBA. All this, plus the fact that we just signed a 20-game TV package with ESPN and we're going to add twenty luxury boxes to Hinkle make for a pretty good June. |
