I just used the link, and it came up very well. For some reason, I have never been able to cut and paste Sporting News articles. It is the first page!! Photo
of GH and article--also Robbie Hummel.

World University Games: Chance to represent country brings out best in future stars

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.-Villanova point guard Corey Fisher might find himself in an unfamiliar position when USA Basketball opens the World University Games next month in Serbia. It could be his team. "Yeah, but basketball is basketball, Fisher said. "I'll do anything I can. If I have to come off the bench, if I have to shoot, if I have to pass, I'll do whatever it takes." Fisher rarely started for Villanova in its Final Four season but contributed 10.8 points per game. At this week's U.S. national team trials, though, he quickly established his ability to penetrate and make plays, to defend his position and to run his team. "The thing I like best about Corey is he's constantly talking to his teammates," said Miami's Frank Haith, who is assisting head coach Bo Ryan of Wisconsin. Fisher was among 32 players trying for spots on the World University Games team and U-19 World Championships team. These were the others who impressed most: Gordon Hayward, forward, Butler. Hayward immediately established he not only was the best player among the U-19s, but one of the best in the gym. He could start at power forward and help the Americans stretch defenses with his deep shooting. Klay Thompson, forward, Washington State. Thompson has a sweet shot and a great feel for moving through the offense. His combination with Hayward could make the U.S. look more European than some of the Euro teams that will challenge them at the World Championships. Robbie Hummel, forward, Purdue. Hummel shot extremely well, particularly when stopping on the wing in transition. He will be an automatic starter in the World games. Craig Brackins, forward, Iowa State. The most pleasant surprise: He showed up. Some 2010 draft prospects were told by agent "advisers" not to attend the trials, but Brackins made the World team with his versatility and unselfishness. Terrico White, guard, Ole Miss. A rash of Rebels injuries forced White to play out of position, but it improved his game. He'll be a shooting guard for the U-19s. "My ballhandling skills got better, my vision got better," White said. "I was taking wide-open shots and making them, so my shooting got better, too." |

I believe that the University Games candidates were there too. Boeheim was in charge of selections for both teams, I am quite certain.
